USDA Rural Development Grant Announcement

For the second year in a row, the City of Sesser’ Police Department has been awarded a grant by the USDA. This $23,100 grant will be used to purchase a new vehicle for our Police Department’s fleet. The department has opted to purchase a truck, rather than a standard Ford Police Interceptor. In the event that an rural area emergency, having a truck at their disposal will give our officers the ability to travel over rough terrain a respond with greater speed and urgency.
